Agriculture Faculty

A: Faculty Introduction

 The proposal to establish the Faculty of Agriculture within the framework of Ghor Institute of Higher Education was sent to the Ministry of Higher Education in 2015 by the leadership of this institute with the approval of the Academic Council. The newly enrolled student faculty was introduced and established in 1397 with two graduate departments (agronomy and animal sciences) was approved by the Supreme Council of the Ministry of Higher Education of the country and since its establishment until now this faculty has been active in the fields of plant sciences (agronomy) and animal sciences. Its affairs were carried out by the faculty members of the Faculty of Education for three years until the beginning of 2010, and later, with the recruitment of academic staff members in the departments of the faculty, its administrative and personnel affairs are carried out by the faculty members themselves. The faculty now has an administrative structure (1 post of faculty director, 2 posts of department director, 6 posts of academic staff member, 4 posts of administrative management and 3 posts of service and security staff). The faculty has graduated two batches in 2010 and 2013, with 33 graduates from the Department of Agronomy and 23 graduates from the Department of Animal Sciences.

 The Faculty of Agriculture of Ghor Institute of Higher Education wants to be recognized as a prestigious scientific center in the country through quality teaching, conducting scientific research, training professionals, providing appropriate services for agricultural sustainability, self-sufficiency and providing modern agricultural sciences.

Mission

 The Faculty of Agriculture of Ghor Institute of Higher Education is engaged in training and educating specialized and professional cadres in various fields of agriculture and livestock to the bachelor's level by providing quality teaching, research and providing appropriate and standard services to the youth of the country in order to be able to reduce poverty, food security. and increase the level of agricultural and animal production.

A: Introducing the Department of Agronomy

 The Department of Agronomy of Ghor Institute of Higher Education was established in 2017 at the same time as the Faculty of Agriculture, which has paved the way for the establishment of other departments. The academic staff members of this department include 3 master's degrees and 1 bachelor's degree. The Department of Agronomy graduated 28 people in 2010 and 7 people in 1402 and they are working in different departments of service departments.

 

 It is worth mentioning that the Department of Agronomy has been one of the active departments of the Faculty of Agriculture since its establishment. The main and fundamental goal of this department is to educate young people in theoretical and practical ways in various fields of this field to provide scientific services to national and international standards.

 The curriculum of this department was developed by the Agronomy Department Cluster of the National Curriculum Revision Committee in 2010 AH. It has been revised and finalized that the revised curriculum will be implemented in this department from 1400 onwards.

 The department has been developed in the light of the national strategy, the strategy of the Ministry of Higher Education, the strategy of Ghor Institute of Higher Education and the strategy of the Faculty of Agriculture.

 The Department of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, Ghor Institute of Higher Education is engaged in training the youth of the country to acquire professional skills and specialized knowledge in various fields of this field to the bachelor's level through research, teaching and providing quality services.

 

Department of Animal Science

A: Introducing the Department of Animal Science

 The Department of Animal Sciences of Ghor Institute of Higher Education was established in 2017 with the establishment of the Faculty of Agriculture, which has paved the way for the establishment of other departments. The faculty members of this department include 2 master's degrees and 2 bachelor's degrees. The Department of Animal Sciences graduated 16 people in 2010 and 6 people in 1402 and presented them to the society, some of whom are employed in various service departments. and. The curriculum of this department was developed by the Department of Animal Sciences Cluster of the National Curriculum Revision Committee in 2010 AH. It has been revised and finalized that the revised curriculum will be implemented in this department from 1400 onwards. The department has been developed in the light of the national strategy, the strategy of the Ministry of Higher Education, the strategy of Ghor Institute of Higher Education and the strategy of the Faculty of Agriculture.
