Faculty of Agriculture

A: Faculty Introduction

The establishment of the Faculty of Agriculture within the framework of Ghor Institute of Higher Education was sent to the Ministry of Higher Education in 2015 by the leadership of this institute with the approval of the Academic Council. In 2016, new students were introduced to this faculty through the entrance examination and its official approval was made in 2018 with two graduate departments (Agronomy and Animal Sciences) by the Supreme Council of the Ministry of Higher Education. Since its establishment, the faculty has been active in the fields of plant sciences (agronomy) and animal sciences. The faculty now has an administrative structure (1 post of faculty director, 2 posts of department director, 8 posts of academic staff member, 4 posts of administrative management, one post of gardener and 1 post of service worker and 1 post of security guard). In 2010, 1402 and 1403, 50 students from the Department of Agronomy and 33 students from the Department of Animal Sciences graduated from this faculty in 2010, 1402 and 1403 with a bachelor's degree.

B: Objectives

1. Perspective

The Faculty of Agriculture of Ghor Institute of Higher Education wants to be recognized as a prestigious scientific center in the country through quality teaching, conducting scientific research, training professionals, providing appropriate services for agricultural sustainability, self-sufficiency and providing modern agricultural sciences.

2. Mission

The Faculty of Agriculture of Ghor Institute of Higher Education is engaged in training and educating specialized and professional cadres in various fields of agriculture and livestock to the bachelor's level by providing quality teaching, research and providing appropriate and standard services to the youth of the country in order to reduce poverty, food security and increase the level of production and production.

3. Objectives

The Faculty of Agriculture of Ghor Institute of Higher Education pursues the following basic and educational objectives:

A: Twins

 

1. A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Faculty of Agriculture and Afghan ID Institute in Ghor province to implement joint affairs and facilitate the practical work of students and is valid until the end of 1406 and a joint committee has been established to implement it.

2. The agreement between the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock was signed in 1403, which is valid for 5 years. Members of both institutions have been established.

3. The agreement between the Ministry of Higher Education and the National Environmental Protection Agency was also signed in 1403. In Ghor province, the Faculty of Agriculture and the National Environmental Protection Agency of this province have established a joint committee to implement it.

D: Laboratory and physical resources

The following are the facilities and equipment of the Faculty of Agriculture:

The Faculty of Agriculture has a laboratory equipped with the necessary equipment for the departments of agronomy and animal sciences. The laboratory is equipped with a variety of microscopes such as electron microscope, digital microscope and light microscope, artificial insemination device, fixed slides of various parts, bardizo, tools for practical work of beekeeping, honey extraction machine, Chinese pollen collector Animals, hornbills, various educational anatomical charts including blood circulation, respiration, digestive system, genitals, skeletal system, etc., models of animal and plant cells.

For all classes of this faculty equipped classrooms that are at the service of students and professors. The classrooms have sufficient natural and artificial light, chairs, whiteboards for writing, and each classroom has a projector or LCD installed.

Students and professors of this faculty have access to computer and Internet facilities on the institute's laptop and use it to solve their academic problems. 1- Department of Agronomy

A: Introducing the Department of Agronomy

The Department of Agronomy of Ghor Institute of Higher Education was established in 2017 with the establishment of the Faculty of Agriculture, which has paved the way for the establishment of other departments. The faculty members of this department include 3 master's degrees and 1 bachelor's degree. The Department of Agronomy graduated 28 people in 2010, 7 people in 1402 and 15 people in 1403. They have been presented to the community and are employed in various service departments.

It is worth mentioning that the Department of Agronomy has been one of the active departments of the Faculty of Agriculture since its establishment. The main and fundamental goal of this department is to educate young people in theoretical and practical ways in various fields of this field to provide scientific services to national and international standards.

The curriculum of this department was developed by the Agronomy Department Cluster of the National Curriculum Revision Committee in 2010 AH. It has been revised and finalized that the revised curriculum will be implemented in this department from 1400 onwards.

The department has been developed in the light of the national strategy, the strategy of the Ministry of Higher Education, the strategy of Ghor Institute of Higher Education and the strategy of the Faculty of Agriculture.

2- Department of Animal Science

A: Introducing the Department of Animal Science
