Inauguration ceremony of the construction of a mosque altar at Ghor University
Today, Sunday, 18 Safar al-Muzaffar 1448 AH, equal to 11 August 1405 AH, the grand inauguration ceremony of the project of construction of a mosque altar in Ghor University, with the presence of heads and representatives of emirate departments, university leadership, professors, staff and guests, was held in Ghor University.
This project worth 19,967,856 Afghanis has been approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and has been implemented with the aim of strengthening religious infrastructure and providing a suitable environment for the performance of Islamic duties and rituals in the academic environment of the university.
The ceremony began with the recitation of a few verses from the Holy Quran by Professor Qari Mohammad Tayeb "Pouya", Director of Research and Scientific Journal.
Then, Maulvi Mohammad Isa "Jaber", on behalf of the Directorate of Enjoining Good and Forbidding Evil, spoke about the position, value and role of mosques in the holy religion of Islam and emphasized the importance of developing mosques as centers of worship, education and unity of Muslims.
Then, Mr. Maulvi Mujibullah "Moghari", President of Ghor University, while welcoming the guests and participants, appreciated the special attention of the Ministry of Higher Education to the development of scientific and religious infrastructure of the university and provided comprehensive information about the specifications, cost and implementation process of this project. He considered the construction of the mosque as an important step in strengthening Islamic values, promoting spiritual atmosphere and responding to the religious needs of professors, students and staff of the university.
At the end, the inauguration ceremony and laying of the foundation stone of the construction of the Holy Mosque was officially held and the ceremony ended with a prayer for the success and timely completion of the project.
It is worth mentioning that this mosque will have a capacity of about 1200 worshipers simultaneously and started on 1405/4/18 AH and according to the contract, until 1406/10/17 AH, will be completed and put into operation within (540) calendar days. It is hoped that the completion of this project will provide a more suitable environment for holding worship, religious programs and cultural-Islamic activities at Ghor University.
